This Privacy Notice explains how GenetiQ Software collects, uses and protects personal information relating to job applicants and other individuals being considered for employment, temporary work, placement or engagement opportunities with the Company.
GenetiQ Software is the data controller responsible for the personal information collected during the recruitment and selection process.
Information we collect
GenetiQ collects personal information provided directly by you during the recruitment and onboarding process, including contact details, CVs, application information, interview responses and assessment results. We may also receive information from recruitment agencies, professional networking platforms, referees (where applicable), and documents provided as part of pre-employment or right to work checks.
How we use your information
We use candidate information to assess suitability for employment, temporary work, placement or engagement opportunities, communicate with you about your application, arrange interviews or assessments, make recruitment decisions, complete pre-engagement checks where applicable, and comply with legal obligations.
Legal basis for processing
We process candidate information to take steps prior to entering into an employment, worker, placement or engagement relationship, and for our legitimate interests in recruiting and selecting suitable individuals. Where required, we may also process information to comply with legal obligations, including right to work or immigration requirements.
Who has access to your information
Your information will only be accessed by individuals involved in the recruitment and selection process, such as HR, hiring managers, interviewers, employees supporting recruitment administration, and approved service providers where necessary.
How long we keep your information
If your application is unsuccessful, your information will be retained in line with our recruitment retention practices and then securely deleted. If you are successful, relevant information will become part of your personnel record or engagement record.
Your rights
You have rights under data protection law, including the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal requirements. Requests relating to your personal information can be made by contacting the HR team on hr_team@genetiqsoftware.com.
