Intact is now called
GenetiQ

If you’ve searched for Intact ERP or Intact Software, you’re in the right place - Intact has simply evolved into GenetiQ.

Same company. Same people. Same products. Just a new name.

You may have noticed something new: Intact is now called GenetiQ (pronounced “gen-et-ic”).

This marks an important step in our evolution - but it’s a simple one.

We haven’t been acquired. We haven’t changed ownership. And we’re not changing what you rely on us for day to day. We’ve changed our name - not who we are.

If you’re an Intact customer or partner the most important message is this: it’s business as usual.

Why we changed our name

When Intact was founded, the name Intact came from ‘Integrated Accounts'. At the time, that reflected exactly what we did.

Over the years, however, Intact ERP has grown far beyond that original focus. Today, our ERP platform supports merchant, wholesale, and distribution businesses in running end-to-end operations - not just finance - with the flexibility to match how your business actually works.

We’ve also grown dramatically. Intact now supports 1,700+ companies and 32,000+ users, with 300+ employees behind the products and services our customers depend on.

As we’ve expanded across markets - including operations in Ireland, the UK, and the US, plus partnerships in Australia and New Zealand - it became increasingly important to have a name and identity that clearly represents who we are today, and works consistently wherever we operate.

Paul Marry, Co‑Founder, adds:

“GenetiQ supports our long-term growth ambitions and provides a strong, unified identity as we continue to scale across our markets.”

In short, Intact is becoming GenetiQ - the same company, with a name that better represents our future.

Why GenetiQ

GenetiQ isn’t just a new label. It reflects how we’ve built our software - and our company - over more than three decades of working alongside customers in the merchant, wholesale, and distribution sectors.

The name brings together two ideas:

Genetics
Our ‘industry DNA’ has been shaped through decades of real-world implementation experience - learning what works (and what doesn’t) in fast-moving, inventory-centric businesses.

iQ
The intelligence that powers the platform: practical automation, personalisation, and insights that help teams work faster, make better decisions, and continuously improve how the system supports the business. GenetiQ was designed to deliver deep personalisation (screens, workflows, menus, commands), built-in automation (rules, alerts, next-best actions), and business intelligence across the platform.

And importantly: GenetiQ is built on proven foundations. It’s cloud-native and browser-based, but it’s rooted in the depth and industry capability that customers already trust.

What GenetiQ represents for the product direction

GenetiQ is our next-generation ERP platform: cloud-native, browser-based, and designed for flexibility, with an AI-ready foundation and a modern user experience.

Across our software portfolio (GenetiQ Cloud, plus Intact Xline and Intact iQ, as they were called), the focus remains the same - giving businesses control over how their systems work and evolve.

It’s built to help teams:

    • tailor the system without heavy reliance on consultants for every change
    • automate routine work
    • connect third-party tools more easily
    • stay secure and scalable as the business grows

This isn’t a sudden pivot - it’s the direction we’ve been building toward for years.

What’s changing (and what’s staying the same)

What’s changing

Over the coming weeks and months, you’ll see:

    • The new GenetiQ company name and updated look across our touchpoints
    • Product branding aligned with the new name (e.g., GenetiQ Cloud, GenetiQ On‑Premise, GenetiQ Xline)
    • A new website presence under the GenetiQ name (with redirects and signposting so you can still find what you need)

What’s staying the same

    • The same independent company
    • The same leadership team and the same people you work with
    • The same products and implementation approach
    • The same support team and long-term commitment

Customers using Intact Xline or Intact iQ will continue to receive the same support and service as before. GenetiQ Cloud does not replace those platforms, and there are no plans to discontinue them.

For customers and partners, this remains business as usual.

What about security, integrations, and openness?

A modern ERP can’t be a closed ecosystem - and GenetiQ Cloud is designed to connect.

GenetiQ Cloud includes strong security foundations such as role-based access, enforced 2FA, and cloud encryption, and it’s built to support seamless third‑party connections so you can integrate specialist tools where needed.

A new era, with the same commitment

We’re also proud to be part of Ireland’s wider ecosystem of innovation and international growth, including engagement with Enterprise Ireland as we expand in the US.

As Justin Lawless, CEO, puts it:

“GenetiQ reflects the ‘genetics’ of our customers’ business DNA and the iQ of our smart, adaptive technology. While the name and look are changing, nothing changes in how we support customers - we are the same people, with the same independence, the same commitment, and an even clearer vision for the future.”

Thank you

We’d like to thank our customers and partners for being part of our story so far.

You’ve helped shape the software, the service, and the direction of the business - and this new name is a reflection of that journey.

From ‘Goodbye Intact. Hello GenetiQ to ‘So it’s a fond farewell to Intact - and the beginning of the GenetiQ chapter.

How do you pronounce GenetiQ?

It’s pronounced gen-et-ic

Who are GenetiQ?

We’re an ERP software company that supports merchants, wholesalers and distributors.

You may have known us as Intact. Today, we’re GenetiQ - a name that better reflects what we’ve become.

We build and support ERP products used by teams across finance, operations and industry-specific roles. Our software helps connect data, people and processes, so businesses can make better decisions and keep moving forward.

Behind the technology is a team that works closely with customers, listens carefully, and stays involved as their needs change.

Does this signal a change in ownership or direction?

No.

This decision was made by the same leadership team, with the same long-term focus. There’s no merger, acquisition or ownership change behind it.

Our direction remains exactly the same - supporting businesses with modern ERP that evolves with them.

Why did you change your name?

When we first became Intact Software, the name came from “Integrated Accounts”. At the time, that reflected what the platform did and how businesses used it.

Since then, a lot has changed.

Our ERP now supports far more than finance. It sits at the centre of the business, helping teams work better together.

In short, the name no longer reflects the reality of what we’ve built or where we we’re heading. So we chose one that does.

Why the name GenetiQ?

GenetiQ reflects how we think about the role ERP plays today.

We see ERP as the brain of a business - connecting people, data and processes, and helping organisations learn, adapt and move forward over time.

It also reflects our belief that technology should support people, not get in their way. Smart, capable systems matter, but only if they work in a way that makes sense for real teams.

What does “the next evolution of ERP” mean in practice?

ERP doesn’t need to be slow, rigid or stuck in the past. For too long, ERP has been associated with legacy technology and painful change. The next evolution is about doing it differently - with modern technology built for how businesses actually operate today.

For us, that means flexible, well-connected systems that evolve over time, integrate easily, and stay current without constant upheaval. We invest continuously in performance, security and connectivity so businesses can benefit from modern ERP without having to rip and replace what already works.

Most importantly, it’s technology designed around people -supporting teams as they grow and change, and delivering progress in a way that feels steady, confident and human.

Is this just a brand change, or is more changing?

This is a brand change.

The name and visual identity have evolved to better reflect who we are today. The platform, the roadmap, and the people behind it remain the same.

The rebrand isn’t a reset. It’s the brand catching up with the reality of the business.

What makes GenetiQ different from other ERP providers?

For us, ERP isn’t just about what technology can do - it’s about how people are supported as businesses grow, adapt and face new challenges. Our products play a central role in that. They’re capable, modern, thoughtfully designed, and shaped through years of experience working closely with customers across different industries. All of them are built with the same intent: to support teams properly, evolve over time, and fit the way businesses actually work.

We’re different because people are at the centre of everything we do.

Is GenetiQ a safe long-term choice?

Yes - and we know that matters.

ERP decisions aren’t short-term decisions. They affect how people work every day, often for many years. That responsibility isn’t something we take lightly.

This rebrand reflects confidence and maturity, not disruption. Same customers. Same teams. Same roadmap. Just a name that better fits the journey ahead.

What if I already know you as Intact?

Then you already know GenetiQ.

The people, the approach and the commitment are the same. The name has simply evolved to reflect the full picture.
