The EDATA Data Pool integration connects your GenetiQ system directly to the Electrical Distributors’ Association’s central product-data repository.

It allows you to import and maintain rich, manufacturer-validated product information, including descriptions, images, specifications and technical data directly within your ERP. How it works

Connect to EDATA
Your GenetiQ system is configured to link to the EDA EDATA Data Pool via a secure API connection using Omiteo PIM technology.

Authorise your account
Once registered with EDATA, you obtain the necessary API credentials to enable data exchange between your system and the data pool.

Map your product data
Using GenetiQ’s data-mapping tools, your existing product records are linked to corresponding EDATA entries to avoid duplication.

Import and update automatically
Product attributes, images, and specifications are pulled into your system and kept up to date as manufacturers revise their data.

Publish across your business
Use the imported data to update your ERP catalogues, websites, and sales platforms with consistent product information.

Getting started

What you need:

 A GenetiQ system (GenetiQ On-premise or GenetiQ Cloud) with the EDATA integration plugin enabled 

  A current EDA EDATA Data Pool subscription and API credentials from the EDA

 Product records prepared for mapping to EDATA identifiers (GTINs, manufacturer codes etc.)

   Optional connections to related Omiteo-based platforms (IDP or NMBS OnePlace) if you participate in those schemes

What is the EDA EDATA Data Pool?

EDATA is the Electrical Distributors’ Association’s central product-data repository. It allows manufacturers to publish standardised, validated product information for electrical wholesalers and merchants to use across their systems and sales channels. 
How does the integration benefit my business?

By connecting your Intact system to EDATA, you gain a single source of accurate, industry-standard product data. This improves catalogue accuracy, reduces administration and ensures your sales and online platforms are always up to date.
Is the integration compatible with all GenetiQ platforms?

The integration is designed to work with GenetiQ On-Premise and GenetiQ Cloud systems through the same plugin and API framework, ensuring a consistent setup experience.
Can I use this alongside the BMF IDP or NMBS OnePlace projects? Yes. All three initiatives use the Omiteo PIM technology stack, so data can flow smoothly between them. If you supply to multiple industry channels, you can link your GenetiQ system to each platform for unified data management.
How often is data updated?

Updates are applied automatically as manufacturers publish changes in EDATA. Your GenetiQ system will retrieve and apply the latest data according to your scheduled sync settings.
