You may have noticed something new - Intact is now called GenetiQ (pronounced gen-et-ic).
This is a positive step forward for our business. But it’s also a simple one.
We haven’t been acquired.
We haven’t changed ownership.
And we’re not changing what you rely on us for day to day.
We’ve changed our name - not who we are.
Why we changed our name
When we first started, the name Intact came from “Integrated Accounts”. At the time, that reflected exactly what we did.
Since then, both our business and our software have evolved significantly.
Today, our ERP supports far more than finance. It helps building materials suppliers, wholesalers and distributors run their operations end-to-end - across stock, sales, purchasing, reporting and more - in ways that reflect how their industry and their individual business actually works.
As we’ve grown across Ireland, the UK, the USA and ANZ - now employing over 300 people across seven countries - it became important to have a name that clearly represents who we are today and works consistently across all the markets we serve.
In recent years, we’ve invested more than €5 million in modernising our technology and building our cloud platform. Backed by Enterprise Ireland and Goodbody Capital, we’re continuing to grow - with plans to create over 100 new roles in the next phase of our development.
Enterprise Ireland has supported our growth from the early days and continues to back this next chapter of our journey.
The new name reflects the business we have become - while remaining closely connected to the experience and values that shaped us.
Why GenetiQ
GenetiQ isn’t just a new label. It reflects how we’ve built our software - and our company - over more than 33 years.
The name brings together two ideas:
Genetics - the industry DNA shaped through decades of working side by side with our customers in the merchant, wholesale and distribution sectors. Your processes, your feedback and your way of working are built into the system.
And iQ - the intelligent, adaptive technology that powers it, continuously evolving to ensure it’s right for the job.
From Vline and Xline through to Intact iQ and now GenetiQ Cloud, every stage of our evolution has been shaped by how real businesses operate day to day.
GenetiQ Cloud is our latest ERP. It’s secure, fast and easy to use, enhanced with practical applications of AI from the outset alongside greater personalisation and automation.
At its core, it’s designed to adapt.
While most businesses share similar processes, no two operate in exactly the same way. That’s why GenetiQ Cloud allows you to personalise and tailor the system yourself - without relying on our consultants and developers for every change. Over time, that flexibility reduces your total cost of ownership and gives your team greater autonomy.
GenetiQ Cloud is also an open system. Our integration capabilities and REST API make it easy to connect specialist tools where needed - so you’re never forced into a closed ecosystem.
